Appraising your employees' performance is one of your most important responsibilities at ABC, Inc. . . . and it will be one of your most difficult jobs. As you will learn from this training guide, our evaluation process is a critical link in a series of steps that move us toward the company goals and objectives.
You are expected to conduct semi-annual evaluations on all people reporting directly to you. No exceptions are made to this policy and the quality of your efforts is a part of your supervisor's evaluation of your job performance. A failure to conduct semi-annual evaluations will affect eligibility in certain ABC, Inc. incentive programs.
You are responsible for ensuring all employees directly below you in the company's organizational structure have an evaluation on a semi-annual basis. You are also responsible for the quality of those evaluations. If you feel supervisors below you need training in the proper conduct of evaluations, you are responsible for getting them that training.
