Dietary Aide

Prepares vegetables/salads for meal. Brings needed supplies from stockroom, prepares juices and portions out. Prepares and portions out nourishments, makes coffee and tea, covers all beverages with plastic wrap, puts on wrapped silverware, covers main dishes, places prepared tray on cart and delivers tray cart to designated area, passes prepared trays through serving window to nursest aide for dining room residents, prepares for washing dishes, strips trays of food/paper, washes dishes and trays by hand, then sanitizes them in sanitizer, allows dishes and trays to air dry and puts them away. Cleans up dishwashing area, cleans tray carts. After each meal, prepares tray with tray covers for next meal, wraps silverware for next meal, assists cook in dishing and covering desserts, prepares and serves salads, washes floor after noon and P.M. meal, puts up and delivers between meal nourishments. Does general clean-up, vegetable preparation, dish cupboards, refrigerator, walls and woodwork, windows and screens, attends In-Service meetings, and may perform other duties as asked by Food Service Supervisor.
