Job description-Purchasing Agent 1

FUNCTIONAL ROLE 2.1 The basic function of the Purchasing Agent is to manage the procurement of materials within approved company policies, and manage the personnel within the purchasing department. 2.2 Purchasing involves ensuring that all equipment, material, supplies, tools and other goods are obtained at the lowest possible cost through negotiations with suppliers, in the right quantities, at the best negotiated freight rates, at the right time and are consistent with the best quality of materials required.
