Titles And Structures

In corporate organizations, each salaried or non-exempt salaried position usually has a title. The title often implies the level of responsibility and authority of that position in the company. Although the actual level of responsibility and authority may not exist for the position, the perception often becomes the reality when dealing with customers, vendors, employees from other departments/divisions and other business contacts. Therefore, it is important that position titles be consistent between departments and divisions of large corporations.
