Pro Shop Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

5.1 Assure that the policies and procedures of the pro shop are enforced.

5.2 Prepare the employee work schedule ensuring that the pro shop is properly manned to handle the customer load, and that the course is covered by the proper number of cart personnel, rangers, and starters.

5.3 When necessary, resolves customer complaints to the customers satisfaction in a timely manner. (Use questions to determine the true complaint and what other facilities are doing better than we are. This will put you in control of the conversation and will usually diffuse the situation.

5.4 Establish pro shop cleanliness and appearance levels and make certain that the pro shop personnel maintain the facility to those established criteria.

5.5 In conjunction with the Pro Shop Manager, establish pricing policies and implement within the pro shop department.

5.6 Establish and monitor the product displays in the Pro Shop.

5.7 As appropriate, conduct sales of slow moving inventory within the pro shop including end-of-the-year sales to reduce inventory levels during the off-season.

5.8 Maintain strong inventory and purchasing control policies and procedures within the pro shop.

5.9 With the Pro Shop Manager and other key employees, develop plans to accomplish long and short-term goals for the pro shop.

5.10 Work with reporting personnel to accomplish established goals toward the continuance and the growth of the pro shop.
