Job Description Development

1.3 The job descriptions provide the basis for performance evaluations. An individual is evaluated by comparing actual performance to the responsibilities, duties and standards of performance listed in the job description. 1.4 A job description should be written by the direct supervisor of that position with discussion with the employee as to their opinions of what their responsibilities and duties are. The job description should then be approved by the President to make sure that there are no overlapping or overlooked functions in the organization.
